| Speaker Profile | 
        Subrahmanyam Vempati, known as Subbu, is the Vice President for Systems Technology & Software, in the Enterprise Systems Group (ESG), Hewlett Packard. This organization brings together all of the pre-merger HP and Compaq ESG R&D efforts in India and Asia under a single umbrella. Vempati will be responsible for ensuring increase of ROI from these R&D efforts and 
successfully integrate the extended R&D in India with the division R&D efforts. In this role, he will also help take R&D closer to the customer in 
Asia Pacific region, and be  responsible for WW Presales Support
  
Most recently, Vempati led the Enterprise Systems and Solutions Center of HP in India and was responsible for delivering external solutions business and managing internal product R&D.  In this role, Vempati contributed to setting up HP Labs India and HP's China Software Center.
  
Before joining HP, Vempati worked as a scientist in the research laboratories of Department of Defense, Government of India in the areas of signal processing and network management. He had also worked in the EDP 
department of a leading electrical manufacturer in India.
  
Vempati is a graduate of the General Manager Program at Harvard Business School, Harvard, Massachusetts and a graduate of ADP program in HP. He holds an honors degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Madras University.
